If you want your work to genuinely improve everyday environments, this Building Surveyor role puts you right at the heart of projects that shape safe, modern and energy-efficient learning spaces. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, supported by experienced colleagues, and given the space to grow your technical and professional capability while making a visible difference across live education settings.

- Exposure to occupied education environments that will accelerate your technical development
- A supportive, down-to-earth team culture with mentoring from senior surveyors
What you’ll be getting stuck into as a Building Surveyor:
- Delivering building, condition and defect surveys across primary, secondary and academy school sites
- Preparing drawings, specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation with senior guidance
- Supporting and progressing contract administration, site inspections and progress meetings
- Managing elements of budgets, programmes and quality to ensure safe delivery with minimal disruption
- Maintaining accurate project records and contributing to funding or bid documentation
- Building strong working relationships with school leaders, site teams and external consultants
What you’ll bring to the table as a Building Surveyor:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in building surveying or a related construction discipline, or strong relevant experience
- Previous experience working on surveying, maintenance or capital works projects, ideally in occupied buildings
- Working knowledge or strong interest in building regulations, compliance and pathology
- Clear written and verbal communication skills suited to client-facing environments
- A full UK driving licence, willingness to travel regionally and eligibility for an enhanced DBS check
Working hours: Full time, flexible working with a mix of home-based work, site visits and office meetings as required.
