SHEQ Officer / Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning company based in Cradley Heath.  As part of a global organisation there are excellent prospects for career progression.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in Health & Safety along with CDM experience (and ideally hold a current CSCS Card).  A full driving licence is essential as some travel to sites will be required.  However, the role will be predominately based at the Cradley Heath site. 

My client provides design and engineering services supplied to the construction industry.  Good knowledge of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations is required.

There is a generous starting salary of £30,000 to £35,000.

The role will be supporting the SHEQ Manager and site personnel, and will include:

  • Assist in management of ISO, OHSAS, BS and other standards systems and accreditations
  • Audit of processes and systems
  • Administer inductions for new starters, annual training programmes, toolbox talks and training records
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Produce CDM 2015 Construction Phase Plans for site workers
  • Conduct site visits.

The successful SHEQ Officer must be considered a competent advisor and hold an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.  There will also be a requirement to pass a Construction Skills Certification Scheme test if you do not already possess a CSCS Card.  An enhanced DBS check will be undertaken. 

This role will suit an experienced: H&S Advisor, SHEQ Officer, SHEQ Coordinator, Site HSE Officer, Health & Safety Coordinator.
